Editorial standards and policy
The rules we follow so you can trust what you read on TheBizVia.
Our editorial principles
TheBizVia exists to inform, not to promote. Every article is written to help readers understand a business topic and make better decisions of their own.
- Accuracy. Facts, figures and quotes are checked against primary or reliable sources before publication.
- Independence. Companies, advertisers and sponsors do not review or approve our coverage.
- Transparency. We explain our sources, label opinion and analysis, and disclose relevant interests.
- Clarity. We write for a broad professional audience and avoid unexplained jargon.
How an article is made
-
Choose and research
We pick topics that help readers act or understand, then gather primary sources such as company filings, official announcements and published data.
-
Write and explain
Drafts define key terms, show worked examples where numbers matter and separate reported facts from analysis.
-
Fact-check and edit
Names, dates, figures and claims are verified. An editor reviews for accuracy, fairness, clarity and any legal or advertising concerns.
-
Publish and maintain
Each article carries a date. We update or correct it when new information appears and note significant changes.
Our policies
-
Sourcing
We prefer primary sources and name them where we can. When a claim cannot be verified, we say so or leave it out. Unnamed sources are used only when necessary and never for opinion.
-
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and note the change. Report an error at info@thebizvia.com with the article title and the details.
-
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools for research support, transcription or editing help. A person is always accountable for the final text, and every fact is checked by an editor before publication.
-
Advertising and sponsorship
Advertisements are labeled “Advertisement” and kept visually separate from articles. Advertisers have no influence on what we cover or how we cover it.
-
Images
We use licensed or freely licensed photography and credit the source. Images illustrate a topic and do not imply an endorsement.
-
Conflicts of interest
Contributors must disclose financial interests in companies they cover. Where a relevant interest exists, we disclose it in the article or reassign the story.
Pitching a story or guest article
We welcome ideas backed by evidence. A good pitch includes a working headline, the main point in two or three sentences, the sources or data you would use and why it matters to our readers now. We do not publish paid placements disguised as editorial content.
